My RainBird system control will not turn off one of the stations although, it will go through the remaining program with reduced pressure.
So, I turned off the pump at the breaker box, then I turned off the control using the switch and by removing the power supply from the control unit, (which is on a separate circuit).
Even though the control unit is off, when I turn the pump on, the same station keeps watering.
How can I solve this problem?
Hi Clark! It sounds like you have a problem with one of your electric valves not shutting off. There are a few things you can try: try replacing the solenoid on the valve. If that doesn’t fix it, you can try replacing the valve top and inner diaphragm of the valve. There is also a small chance it was wired incorrectly and got wired into the pump solenoid as well, but its hard to tell without being there. Give those 2 fixes a try and let us know how it goes!
I’d like to see a YouTube video on how to specifically adjust a Rain Bird 360 degree sprinkler. There is a collar under the nozzle that seems to have a clicking dial movement. When I turn the entire collar, the nozzle comes off. When I hold the collar and turn the dial counter-clockwise, I hear multiple clickings, but it doesn’t seem to reduce the flow. Just how many clicking increments does the nozzle have? I count 10 (thinking that would change the flow, but doesn’t
Hi Steve! Thanks for stopping by. Do you happen to know the actual model of your sprinkler. The way you are describing the sprinkler, it sounds like it might be a Rainbird T-Bird sprinkler, but it is hard to say without a few more details. See if you can make out a model on the top of the head, or reply with a link to a video or picture of the same sprinkler that you’ve found online. Or is it an R-VAN Rainbird rotary nozzle? If so, you can find one of our videos on how to adjust this nozzle here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Dyv_NomGHw. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you adjust this head!
I have two sprinkler heads that are leaking from the ground level. I can see the water shooting out of the stem and flooding the donut and area around. How do I fix this? It is not leaking when the system is turned off, thank goodness.
It looks like a replacement of the head from your description is the fastest way. The seal is either damaged or worn out.
